CFW 2014: Diaphanous Creations from Julan by Designer Julliette Dyke

Showing one of the strongest collections from Caribbean Fashion Week was Edna Manley graduate, Juliette Dyke. Her Julan collection was both young and funky, combining sheer fabrics with royal prints in various diaphanous forms. We loved the use of the royalty pattern, tailored symmetrically and asymmetrically on the designs. One particular look stuck out in our minds: a pair of black pants with a slim pattern block down the middle, fitted with a sheer long-sleeved black top. It’s diversity for both daytime and evening wear made it a definitive style. Other highlights from the collection included a two-piece white crop top and sheer black skirt (which we spotted on Juliette night two) and a white and blue sheer floor length gown.
