- Fresh from London, local designers Ayanna Dixon of ASD Clothing, Simone Nielson of miSim, Abenah Gonzalez of Abenah Adelaide, Dexter Huxtable of Spokes Apparel and Claire Requa of Clairely Up cycled Jewelry returned from their Threadbare exhibition at LFW. British Mag Complexd Woman attended the event and decided to profile three of the local designers  in the Editor’s Diary column.  

 

- American streetwear and surf label Stussy– a reigning force in the industry since 1980– chose to shoot their Spring 2014 campaign in Jamaica. Italian photographer Francesco Giusti envisioned Jamaica as the place to capture the collection of bucket hats, t-shirts and baseball jerseys.

 

- We’ve previously mentioned the inspirational project of Trini artist Rodell Warner who is currently doing an artist residency at NLS for his wearable art and now we are asking you to go support him. Visit the NLS Kickstarter campaign to donate to the cause as his raises funds for his environmental photography and fabric project. 

 

- More makeup inspiration coming your way with the MUA Essentials Makeup Show happening at the Knutsford Court Hotel on March 28th. Check out the details at Fashion Globe’s Facebook.

 

- Saint International has been getting busy preparing for their Avant Garde fashion show taking place March 14-16 and to get that project rolling they are asking for volunteers to help out. 

 

- Local retailers Grandeur Femme are following the lead of their men’s partner, Grandeur Male, by going digital this week. The store is also following tow to the new Grandeur complex moving from their previous 7th Avenue and relocating to the Plaza Grande on Constant Spring. To kick off the move they are hosting a “MASSIVE Relocation Sale” through the 28th.
