The Mission Catwalk newcomer and Bahamian fashion designer, Theodore Elyett, has unveiled his beautifully orchestrated lookbook to the masses after a swift shop to fashion magazines and blogs alike. The images capture his Pre-Fall ‘Ello London collection which premiered at Trident Castle late last summer. Shot in the Bahamian Primeval Forest, the models pose in proper school girl form with hands clasped or tucked inside their pockets, giving way to the volume of Elyett’s designs.
The collection is cohesive, a well conceived throwback to Mod-sixties London and the British supermodel Twiggy. The only failure in delivery is the long awaited release of the Pre-Fall lookbook which was being coveted, as Elyett says, “allowing various publications first grabs at some of its images”, missing the mark for the true purpose of a lookbook, which is to share the styles with as many buyers and publications as possible before the season’s end.
