Every Friday in our column “Style Selec’tings” we scour the web for the week’s best in clothing and accessories from Jamaican stores and designers. This week in the column we look at a few fall styles available now and prepare you to ready your wardrobe with fresh new stock from local retailers.

It seems a lot of retailers were wiped out from the Take Style Out sales, pushing summer out the door and inviting fall styles in. While not everybody has gotten their new merchandise set up as yet, a few retailers are bringing in the new styles swiftly. This week we turned our attention to the new 80s Baby collection from Bay Lady by Ms. Jaye which is now being sold at local retailer Alter Ego. The collection is fun filled with polka dots, stone washed denim and bandeau tops. Alter Ego is also stocking some playful tie-dye tops and stone wash denim and their sale is now extended until tomorrow so go check it out.

The Wardrobe has plenty of new collections to look at, starting with this denim-on-denim ensemble for his and hers. The blue collar work uniform of denim-on-denim has been hitting it big these last few seasons. We like the pairing of the dark denim with a light chambray top the way The Wardrobe styled it here. Also check out this clean and chic black and white jumper with cut-out back detailing. We thought with such a strong print, it would be paired nicely with a very simple hoop, like these available at Reve Jewellery.

Lastly check out the Mamayashi shopping party this Saturday 9/28 3-7pm at 86 constant spring rd. 201. Mamayashi is rolling out lots of new items such as bags, dresses, skirts, tees and more to help you revamp your closet.
