Get in the know! Every Monday we bring you the Weekly Style, giving you the latest in fashion and style news from style savvy Jamaicans at home and abroad.

– The redesigned Ian Fleming estate-turned-resort, now owned by music business tycoon Chris Blackwell, has nabbed a deal with Haute Hippie as an exclusive retailer for the Golden Eye Resort store. Opening in mid-November, the brand which is know for its high-end tailoring of casual looks in printed dresses, maxis and tees, is set to do a capsule collection exclusive to the resort.

– After a prolonged delay the Collection Moda has officially announced a new date of September 18th for the runway show that will include designers Korto Momolu, Jerell Scott, Lubica, Ayanna Dixon and newcomer Simone Neilson. Mission Catwalk winner Theodore Elyett is also set to unveil his new collection at the fashion event.

– Speaking of local retailers, The Wardrobe’s Garelli Avenue location is on temporary hiatus due to unknown circumstance beyond their control. The store will continue to post their new stock on the Wardrobe facebook page and deliver products locally as requested. Hope all works out well for them!

– After their announcement last week, earth-mama designer Mamayashi and visual artist Tribal Immunity have released images of the painted designs they collaborated on together. The results are intriguing with full figured dresses being painted in light brush stokes over complimenting fabrics.
