Model and t.v. host, Tyra Banks, may have had another plan up her sleeve while visiting Jamaica during last season’s America’s Next Top Model. The media maven has created a spin off of her popular Next Top Model series with a show dedicated strictly to Caribbean models. Caribbean’s Next Top Model is scheduled to start February 19th and run for eleven episodes in which twenty-three Caribbean beauties compete for the crown of Next Top Model. The series will be hosted in Trinidad and feature Trini Beauty Queen and former Miss Universe Wendy Fitzwilliam.
The Caribbean has long been a source of runway models for fashion houses in New York, Paris and London, so it’s no surprise the series has made it the epicenter of a new spin off with international celebrity stylists and designers. Our own island has two ladies in the running, so keep your eye on local listings for broadcasting times.
