Kingston Bridal Week 2012: Recap

Kingston Bridal Week at Wyndham Hotel kicked off last Friday and was filled with a weekend of activities that showcased exhibits on an array of wedding categories ranging from bridal fashion and beauty to wellness catering, decor, venue and event planning.

Organizers of Kingston Bridal Week, Kibwe McGann and Sean Lyn from Intuit Concepts, partnered with Petals and Promises Creative Director Kara Anderson. “The three of us have a meticulous planning mind” Lyn said about the triage’s successful process. The event modus operandi was clearly formulated. “The entire thing about Kingston Bridal Week is that we promote consumerism, it’s not just a show and tell expo,” McGann noted, “people come here to buy.”

The inaugural Kingston Bridal Week boasted style tips, makeup tips, hair demonstration, a cake competition and five fashion shows from designers such as Jae Jolly, Ashley Martin and Lubica.

Petals and Promises was wildly popular at the event, showing a wide display of dresses. Many women shopped and purchased dresses on location, a common and welcome theme observed through out the successful weekend of events.
